Exploring the Design and Effects of Internal Knowledge Markets

This booklet investigates the layout and implementation of industry mechanisms to discover how they could help wisdom- and innovation administration inside organisations. The ebook makes use of a multi-method layout, combining qualitative and quantitative instances with experimentation. First the publication reports conventional techniques to fixing the matter in addition to markets as a key mechanism for challenge fixing.

Many of these cases were manually verified, and the formant estimations given were indeed approximately correct. This can be explained by the circumstance of continuous speech, where [u] was displaced to a centralized position, not given enough time or emphasis to reach a very low F2 value. All of the vowels may partially suffer from this centralization during continuous speech. 28 J. Proença et al. Fig. 1. First and second formant frequencies (F1 and F2) for vowels [i], [ɛ] (E in the picture), [a], [ɔ] (O in the picture) and [u] of Males of the Low-PD group (left) and Females of the LowPD group (right), with corresponding 2σ concentration ellipses Comparing the F1/F2 vowel triangles for High-PD and Low-PD speakers (Figure 2), it can be reported that as the speech abnormalities progresses the triangle of the vowels reduces, with lower F1 values, mainly for the open vowels [ɛ], [a] and [ɔ], and with a slight centralization of F2 values.

In fact, they are often referred for physical rehabilitation due to the rigidity of the upper limbs. As a result of the reduced speech intelligibility and movement rigidity, people with PD often become isolated [5]; speech technologies can therefore offer a relevant contribution to improve their quality of life. The present study aims to identify some acoustic and phonetic characteristics of the speech of PD patients for European Portuguese language. The ultimate goal is to adapt a speech recognizer for PD patients to be used for friendly technological interfaces.
